We are located in an organic olive grove in the village of Potami at the foot of the mountain of Troodos.
Due to Cyprus’s huge olive tree areas , Strabon mentioned Cyprus’s name as “Evelaion” which means “good oil” of Cyprus. There are many actions taken in our organic grove in order to produce good quality olive oil.
We plant vetch, which needs nitrogen fertilizer.
Everything is planted by hand , and the olive oil’s branches after they are pruned, are mixed with soil , for a natural fertilization source. IN our organic olive grove we do not plow the soil in order keep the various insects that help for the vetch.
There is a constant effort not to intervene in the natural environment and in order to have the best results in olive oil quality and keep our olive trees healthy.
All the practices we use are environmentally friendly and as a result , our olive oil has a high quality of polyphenols.
Polyphenols are divided into pure and oily.
According to the general European regulation 432/2012, if the olive oil exceeds the limit of 250mg per kilo (kg), it is considered to be medicinal.
It is recommended 20 mg daily of medicinal olive oil, in order to have protection from various diseases and ailments.
